  1. 1. No I would not give DHMO to my mother.

Problem: Would you give DHMO to your mother?

Hypothesis: I'm going to research what DHMO is and then with my findings choose my answer.

    Experiment: Research DHMO.

Observation: I went to the website DHMO.org and if was full of information regarding this chemical. I went to the FAQ (frequently asked questions) link on the website to learn more. I wanted to first find out what DHMO is. Then as I scrowled down I started to find out what the dangers are related to DHMO and why the government would not consider this chemical a danger in society. DHMO is "Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. " This chemical is very dangerious and could potentially give my mother cancer of some other sideafeccts." According to (dhmo.org) Also, some of the dangers included "
-->Death due to accidental inhalation of DHMO, even in small quantities.
-->Prolonged exposure to solid DHMO causes severe tissue damage.
-->Excessive ingestion produces a number of unpleasant though not typically life-threatening side-effects.
-->DHMO is a major component of acid rain.
--> Gaseous DHMO can cause severe burns." (DHMO.org)

Conclusion: Based on my research of DHMO I would not give DHMO to my mother. Some of the dangers included cancer, severe tissue damage, and severe burns. I have an idea that DHMO might be some sort of cleaning product that most mothers use on a daily basis though.
